April is here and with it come good things. The first, delicious spears of asparagus are beginning to appear in the shops alongside peppery radishes, and new potatoes are ready to be dug up to eat alongside Easter lamb. The weather this month is always up and down - sunshine one day, sleet the next - and plenty of our March favourites including various roots and leafy greens are still around.
This month The Veggienauts Club will be celebrating all things carrot in honour of the Easter bunny and 4th April will see the celebration of International Carrot Day, established nearly 20 years ago to champion this sweet root veg.
